After my recent hiatus from writing, I’m feeling good about writing a few essays this year on some of the emerging topics that have captured the imagination of the technorati. I’ll also be diving into some other issues that, whilst not specifically about tech, have such a tech element to them they can be considered tech subjects.
I really want echo your concern about the 'land-grab' that seems to be happening. I am also concerned that much of the excitement or hype around crypto and blockchain, is being perpetuating by those who have invested (early investors) in those platforms, who know the value of their investment will increase as take-up increases. And so, there may be little or no altruism in them 'singing the gospel' of crypto, blockchain, the Metaverse, Web 3.0, etc., as they are banking on big gains in the future.
